My daughter was using heroin since January (smoking it) .. Her stupid boyfriend injected her and it overdosed her, after that she told me she was only smoking it, she was also getting help and was put on a subutex prescription. After a month she stopped using the script told me she was clean, She doesn't see her boyfriend much i told her not to see him she did so i asked her to move out and into her dads. Her uncle moved in recently who is a heroin addict himself. She goes to every drug councelling meeting though, She tells me her test result is negative but she never shows me this, she told me she got a positive but it was because she'd taken a tablet with morphine in. She comes over to see me and she looks sleepy, some money has gone missing also my camera. she swears she didnt take it, i can't prove it as i wasn't sure how much money i had there. She only comes over for an hour or so then her uncle will ring and she will go back to him. I also think something is going on between them just a feeling that i have he rings her all the time when she is here. He also has a couple of mates go round to smoke heroin and she says that she doesn't have any but im not sure that someone trying to get off heroin could sit in a room full of users without touching it. I found abit of foil in her pocket but she said it was from a while ago, she also keeps buying lighters alot, im not sure what to believe. Do you think she could me using heroin again?

i been on it for 2 yrs and i can NOT get off of this orange pill. i can only go 2 days without it. never made it to the third day. I'm also on valium , ambien , celexa , clonidine sometimes for sleep , OTC sleep aid. i just wanna know one question.....what if i stopped taking subox and went on methadone for 2 weeks?. i would take it the way im suppose to. or should i go back to subutex? i would like to feel calm off of my Valium but i don't feel a thing. I'm only taking it now so i don't get sick. what do you think of that? im having a hard time getting into detox and i really want help. my devil doc gives me all those pills and of course im gonna take them because i cant say NO.. the reason why i take OTC sleep aid because it calms me down with a tiny high. then i take my ambien but they dont work much anymore . the clonidine and celexa knock me right out. i catch myself when im on the laptop sitting up i start to fall a sleep and i all of a sudden i start grabbing for things that aren't even their in front of me and i also think im somewhere else . its really crazy and i never felt like that before. does anyone have any idea what thats about. it really does scare me. thanks

Ok So Swim has been taking Subutex( taking the Generic Versions) for about a year steadily. SWIM is wondering if Buprenorphine will maintain SWIM's general opiate tolerancem, even 5+ days after swims last dosage of buprenophine(subutex). Swim's last dosage was 1mg sublingually and had been taking 1mg sublinuaglly for the past 2-3 months. During month one of 1mg dosage swim would dose every other day, during month two, swim dosed every two days , and now for last month swim has dosed every 4-5 days. Swim is wondering if his Hydrocodone tolerance will still be as high, or if it is back at ground level? Any help is MUCH APPRECIATED.

After about 3 hours of taking a dose, like if i take a dose at 7pm, could I have 2-3 beers starting at 10pm if I am drinking them very slowly, like 1 beer per hour, maybe get a small buzz but nothing big? Also, can i take delsym for a bad cough when I am on subutex? thank you

I have been on Buprenorphine for 9 months and am worried because I have started abusing it. I am on it as part of an addiction treatment program. I spent $15k on treatment last year, came out of treatment and relapsed less than 2 weeks later. The chains of addiction have had me wrapped for years and I have allowed it to steal the wonderful person I was (though, I'm still an alright guy). I will spare you the self-pity and excuses. The point is, I took one 8mg pill this morning and by 9pm I was sweating and had hot and clammy skin, much the same as my 'old' w/d's from opiates/opioid. I just want my life back. I want to get completely clean and free of any crutch, escape, excuse, shame, and drug. I don't think I've ever wanted to be mediocre and 'just normal' and live life in the middle more than what I want to right now. I've made a mess of my life and, though things are leagues better this year than last (praise God that I'm still alive to fight this battle), I was recently -though lovingingly and compassionately- chastened by my Pharmacist. I took the medication as prescribed (One 8mg 3x/day) for the first 8 months, and it has been only in the past month that I've been taking more than what's prescribed. At the height of my opiate addiction I was taking upwards of 40-60 5mg percocet/day or close to 500mg of oxycontin (back surgery had some to do with it, but not all or even most), depending on what I could buy, beg, bribe, steal, or lie to get. Life is nowhere near as awful as it once was, but I don't like that I'm now using 4, 5, 6, or 7 seven pills/day when I'm only prescribed 3. They don't even make me 'high' because this specific medication has a 'ceiling effect' which means one can benefit only a particular amount and anything beyond that is a waste. I haven't been to a meeting in a while, and I know that's part of this, but I really would LOVE to hear advice from someone out there who has tapered from this particular medication (or suboxone) and fought to find a way to stay clean. Please be nice, I'm not worthless. I'm not a loser. I'm just an addict who is sick of letting his demons get the better of him. Any advice on how to taper would be welcome. Please do not suggest any illegal activity, switching to another substance, or lying to my doctor. Thank you in advance for your empathy and kindness!
