I have been reading up on 'Sodium Ascorbate'. Does anyone have any information on how much I need to take to eliminate withdrawal symptoms and if it actually works? Also what else do I need to take with it, what diet should I have? What is the best preparation, powder, fluid or pills? Also, if anyone can give me other methods of detox, please let me know. I don't wish to know about clinics, methadone, subutex/suboxone or Ibogadine. If I was to reduce my dose gradually how should I do it? My stats are: Age: 27, male, 5ft 10" Addicted to Subutex for one year, using heroin for 3-4 weeks @ 0.5 grams a day. I am not injecting, only smoking. Thanks in advance for answers.

I was wanting to know what would be the normal dosage of subutex i would take per day, I use to take 30 10-325 norco a day for 9 to 10 years.

I have an upcoming colonoscopy - is there a problem with them sedating me since I'm on subutex? Also, what can my dentist prescribe in the event I have dental pain requiring medication, e.g., abcessed tooth?

hey ladies... i am having a baby on tuesday...thats in 5 days...i also am taking 12mgs of subutex daily, and am petrified of my babe going thru withdraw. it seems that in my case, the docs really are clueless on this drug. even the anesthesiologist, whom i met today, had never even heard of the drug. and she administers pain meds!! so i will def. come back n let you all know what happened with baby. most of my fam. also has no idea bout the fact that im on subutex, but all of my docs do. and suprisingly they all give me props for doin the rite thing n not usin dope. im just so scared to tell my loved ones the truth if the baby goes into the nicu. but the neonatologist has said it is maybe a 70/30 chance baby will not go. so odds are ok. i have done so much research on this topic, and i believe i am doin the best i can. i also am planning to breastfeed, basically to keep me constantly knowing that i have to feed baby n shouldnt get high. so listen, i will keep yous posted, and subutex has saved my n my childs life, so ladies stop beating yourselves up about this! also if anyone else who has recently had a baby while on subutex let me know... i love all the info i can get. ashleysoska@hotmail.com xoxoxoxo

I have been on subutex/suboxone for almost 2 years. Throughout most of the last year I have been inssuflating (snorting) them, and at one point was snorting about 1 1/2 pills a day. I now am down to about 1/20th of a pill per day (8 mg) and can get myself down to even less, but I still cannot stop completely. A pill lasts me a month now, so I am progressing, but I actually feel higher and more out of it since doing less of it. It's really irritating, and I get so depressed when I dont take it, and feel like I cannot get out of bed without doing a miniscule amount. Any recommendations to quit this garbage. Thank you. One of the reasons I hate this pill the most is not being able to have sex normally. It numbs me so I cannot feel , and makes sex difficult. I really have to quit this ASAP.

My Brothers girlfriend gave birth three days ago and was taking under 1mg of Subutex, she has ben clean for over a year hence the small dose. The clinic advised her it was safer to stay on the sub rather than come off while pregnant, as it could potentially cause more damage to the feotus, but the baby would probably need to stay in a special unit for a couple of days. Now he has been born, a very healthy baby, but is being weaned off the drug, he suffered a little jaundice and slight irritation, but cuddling helps. Every baby is different, depends on the weight and how much of the drug was being used. Research before you think of getting pregnant if you can, there is so much conflicting information. The stigma attached to taking any drugs is ridiculus, both my brother and his partner have been clean for well over a year, a lovely couple and proud parents, but still have to go through the protocal of seeing councilors, social workers and all other types of officials to make sure they are suitable parents!. The baby may need to stay in for anything up to four weeks, all dependant on how quickly the drug comes out of his system, so bare this in mind, especially if your on a higher dose. Also they have been told it is absolutly fine to breast feed, in fact smoking and alcohol does more harm when breast feeding. Hope everything goes well, and keep yourself in the know, there are many options.

I am going through some VERY hard times right now. I have been married for 15 years to this man & since the past 4 years he started using & abusing drugs. (Lortabs, oxycontin, oxycodone, percecets, morphene suckers and marijuana & whetever else he could get his hands on. LONG story short, his abuse has destroyed our family. I have 2 children, one is 19 yrs old from former relationship, (I got married to him when she was only 3yrs). We also have a daughter together who is now 3 years old. He had gotten so out of control he threatened to hit my 19 yr old & I stepped in between to protect her & he threatened to knock us both in the floor, but didn't. I ended up leaving with my 2 girls hoping things would calm down in a day or two. I called him to try to see what frame of mind he was in to see if it was safe to return home, he only sounded as MAD as ever!!! He says it's because I took our 3 yr old girl. (I didn't want to, but I felt I had to for everyone's safety). Well, he actually made threats against me & my 19 yr olds life on about 4 different phone calls.....(he didn't come right out & say he would "kill us", but it certainly was implied! Such as saying things like ..."I will use all my money, power & resorces to get you & Joshualyn (my 19 yr old daughter) out of the way!!!" because he said that "NO ONE will ever keep him away from his daughter!" (our 3 yr old). another time he said "because I have done this unpardonable sin (of taking our 3 yr old away) that I am driving my own nails in my coffin!" The man isn't even in his right mind anymore! anyway, that was just a couple phone conversations with him. Well of course I have a protection order now & I filed for a divorce about 2 weeks ago. (this all happened about 1 month ago now). Ok, now we have our lawyers & I demand hair follical drug testing because I KNOW with my own eyes for a FACT he did drugs! But lo & behold HIS HAIR & URINE test came back CLEAN!!!! How can this be??? Does anyone know HOW someone can pass a test like that when you are indeed doing drugs? Oh yes, I need to say that this past June (after years of pleading) he did go to a detox place, which he did just now complete, BUT he was Still smoking pot up till the day I left 1 month ago. & was also abusing the narcotic "Subutex" they gave him to get off ALL the other junk! SO why didn't ANYTHING show up???? Please help, I don't know how he could have done this! ???
