I've been clean for 31 days now off of heroin, but just curious if this could be done. I would appreciate a simple answer as opposed to criticism, as that will not be constructive towards my safety, which is what I'm obviously concerned with. Thanks.

My dr. said not to. but I don't think he has done much research and is going by what the suboxone insert says. I've researched it online and found that the studies say that the amount that crosses into the milk and it's effects are minimal. I need the medicine and I also have a great need to breastfeed my baby. But her ultimate well being is the most important factor for me. No nasty comments needed. If you haven't walked in my shoes, don't pass judgement on me.

I conceived june 17th and used that wk. and july 3rd. I found out i was pregnant july 10th. I will obviously consult with my dr. i needed some advice until then. I hope the baby is okay!!! It is not like i am going to touch it while pregnant, i experienced with it before i knew.

I've been taking Suboxone for a while now and am now taking 2mg and was about to start tapering when I found out I'm pregnant. My doctor switched me to Subutex and said I will have to increase my dose as I get further along. I really don't want to go back up since I was just about to try to taper off. Does anyone know if I can just stay at 2mg my whole pregnancy or even better still taper and be off completely???
